45 days. 172 performances. More than 261,000 visitors from 84 countries. Over 99% attendance. A Festival summer that once again transformed Salzburg into a meeting place for artists and audiences from around the world.
On stage, great works met new perspectives: CARMEN, ARIADNE AUF NAXOS and SAINT FRANÇOIS D’ASSISE, theatre from FAUST I to UNTER TIEREN, and a concert programme ranging from the Ouverture spirituelle “Miserere” and the Hommage to György Kurtág to Visions de Messiaen.
What remains are the moments: great voices, powerful images, special encounters and an audience that brings the arts to life night after night.
