Talent Development
The Talent Development Programme of the Salzburg Festival
The Salzburg Festival stands for excellence and innovation—values that are also reflected in its support programs for young musical talent. Through the Young Singers Project and the Herbert von Karajan Young Conductors Award, the Festival offers emerging artists a unique platform to develop their talent and take their first steps toward an international career.
The Young Singers Project, supported by the Kühne Foundation, provides young vocalists with intensive training, ranging from master classes and rehearsal visits to working with renowned Festival artists.
The Young Conductors Award, initiated in collaboration with the Herbert von Karajan Institute and supported by the Rolex Perpetual Arts Initiative, gives young conductors the opportunity to showcase their skills during the Award Concert Weekend and to shine before a distinguished jury.
