In the opera camps, music-loving children and teenagers aged 9 to 17 become immersed in the world of opera and spend a week at Arenberg Castle with artists and experienced teaching professionals.

The Salzburger Festspiele und Theater Kinderchor plays an established role in productions of the Salzburg Festival and the Salzburg Landestheater.

On Friday mornings the Kapitelplatz belongs to children. The Siemens Children’s>Program offers screenings of opera, ballet and theatre for even the youngest children, bringing them closer to these art forms with a colourful mixture of fantastic stories.

Young friends’ receive regular information about the Salzburg Festival, have access to the extensive summer programme of the Friends of the Salzburg Festival, and are given priority when ordering youth tickets.
