SZENE Salzburg
SZENE Salzburg
The building at Anton Neumayr Platz No. 2 was formerly the Stadtkino, the city cinema. It was converted in 2001 to create a space for happening. The multi-functional performance space offers a diverse range of over 120 events a year representing all artistic disciplines with a combined audience of over 120,000 people.
Centrally located in Salzburg’s historic center, up to 700 guests can participate in events here, with a telescope stage making various constellations possible: ance, theatre, lectures, readings, concerts, cabaret, comedy, children’s and young people’s theatre, club formats and dance evenings find their audiences here. A computer-controlled light and sound system, continuously variable risers and a stage that can be partially lowered provide the necessary audiovisual support.
