In the summer of 2020, the Salzburg Festival celebrates its 100-year anniversary. Today the Salzburg Festival, which began in 1920 with a single drama performance, is the largest classical music festival in the world. Every summer, the world has been looking to Salzburg: a small town becomes the stage for spellbinding theatre, grand opera, great masters, famous stars and an illustrious audience.
