On the opera Aidaby Giuseppe Verdi

Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida is one of the most widely played operas ever written. Its heart-breaking love triangle unfolds amid a remorseless power struggle in the ancient Egypt of the pharaohs, ultimately ending in tragedy. The young participants will get to know Verdi’s stunning music and delve into the content and themes of the work. By seeing how these interact with their lived experience, they will stage their own version of Aida and take on a variety of responsibilities as members of the orchestra, choir singers, stage designers and actors.
