Students from Austrian universities, selected by audition, receive intensive chamber music and instrumental instruction as part of this Summer Academy. Each of their approximately 20 chamber
music projects, ranging from classical to modern music, will be prepared with a mentor from the Vienna
Philharmonic, with a closing marathon of highlights presented in three varied concert programmes.
In addition, the young instrumentalists will demonstrate their abilities in opera productions at the
Salzburg Festival.
