Valeriia Savinskaia

Russian soprano Valeriia Savinskaia was born in Moscow in 1997 and completed her studies with distinction under Anastasia Bakastova at Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2017. Since 2018 she has been continuing her studies in Elena Filipova’s opera class at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. She won the first prize and the prize of the international media jury at the 2019 Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. She joined the Vienna State Opera ensemble as a Novomatic bursary-holder in 2019/20. Among her roles for the company have been Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore), Ida (Die Fledermaus) and the title role in Albin Fries’s children’s opera Persinette.

From the autumn of 2020 Valeriia Savinskaia will join the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, where her roles during her first season will include Pamina and the First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Annina (La traviata) and Yvette and Georgette (La rondine).

Valeriia Savinskaia is making her Salzburg Festival debut in Elektra.
