Sylvie Rohrer, born in Bern, attended the Academy of Acting in Zurich. In 1995, she was named “Best Young Actress” by the magazine Theater heute, and in 1996 she received the Boy-Gobert Prize, being once again selected as “Best Young Actress” in the same year. Since 1999, Sylvie Rohrer has been a member of the ensemble at the BURG. In 2007, she was awarded the Nestroy Theatre Prize in the category of “Best Actress”. Guest engagements have taken her to the Berliner Ensemble and the Zurich Schauspielhaus.
Sylvie Rohrer is also seen in film and television roles. She performs internationally in musical projects such as Pierrot Lunaire, Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher, and Perséphone. At the Salzburg Festival, she appeared in Henry Purcell’s King Arthur in 2004 and in Jean Racine’s Phèdre in 2010. In 2026, she will return to Salzburg in the roles of A Poor Neighbour / Works in Jedermann.
