Selina Nowak initially studied Fine Arts and Arabic Studies and worked as a journalist and cultural manager before her professional career led her to the performing arts. After various assistantships at Viennese theaters such as the Burgtheater, WERK X, the Rabenhof Theater, the Schubert Theater and the sirene Operntheater, she studied scenography at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Since then, she has worked as a freelance artist and regularly performs herself on stage and in front of the camera.
Her projects in 2023 include the film Feminism WTF and the opera Alice by the Serapions Ensemble at the Odeon in Vienna, as well as the children’s opera at the Salzburg Festival for the first time, where she is now returning for Carl Orff’s Die Kluge.
