Nahuel Di Pierro was born in Buenos Aires. He is a former member of the Paris Opéra Studio and the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival. His operatic repertoire ranges from Baroque music to bel canto.
His Baroque roles include Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea), the Cold Genius (King Arthur) and Créon (Charpentier’s Médée) in Zurich, Augure and Plutone (Rossi’s L’Orfeo) in Versailles and Isménor and Teucer (Rameau’s Dardanus) in Bordeaux.
As an accomplished Mozartian, Nahuel Di Pierro has also appeared as Masetto in Buenos Aires, London and Valencia, as well as at the Paris Opéra and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, as Leporello in Aix-en-Provence, Nancy and Luxemburg, and as Don Giovanni in Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv. He has also sung Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) in Dessau and Santiago, Achior (La Betulia liberata) in Salzburg, the Oracle (Idomeneo) at the Paris Opéra and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Figaro in Buenos Aires, Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) in Buenos Aires, Edinburgh and Aix-en-Provence, as well as at the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York, and Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) in Zurich.
His Rossini roles include the Governor (Le Comte Ory) and Lord Sidney (Il viaggio a Reims) in Zurich, Assur (Semiramide) in Nancy, Selim (Il turco in Italia) in Angers, Nantes and Luxemburg, Walter and Melcthal (Guillaume Tell) in Bad Wildbad, Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia) in Berlin, Toulouse and Bordeaux, Haly (L’italiana in Algeri) in Buenos Aires and Bordeaux, as well as at the Paris Opéra, and Mustafà (L’italiana in Algeri) in Buenos Aires and San Sebastián.
Nahuel Di Pierro’s engagements this season include Osmin and Selim, as well as Cadmus and Somnus (Semele) in Zurich, Assur in Pesaro, La Betulia liberata in Salzburg and Paris, Méphistophélès (La Damnation de Faust) with the Orchestre National de France and the Mozart Requiem in Lisbon, as well as several appearances with Ensemble Pygmalion and Ensemble Diderot.
