The French-Catalan soprano Lauranne Oliva studied at the Conservatoire in Perpignan. In 2020 she won first prize in the opera category, second prize in the song category and the ’Michèle Herbé’ Young Hope Prize at the international singing competition Nuits Lyriques de Marmande.

In 2021 she joined the Opera Studio of the Opéra national du Rhin, where she appeared as Princess / Bat in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.

In the 2022/23 season she participated in the development programme Génération Opéra and won the first prize and the audience prize at the Paris Opera Competition, and the first prize and the Swiss opera houses’ prize at the singing competition Voix Nouvelles.

She appeared as La Musica / Euridice (L’Orfeo) in concert performances in Tours and Poissy and as Fortuna / Giunone (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria) at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Arsenal in Metz and the Victoria Hall in Geneva. In 2023 she sang Drusilla (L’incoronazione di Poppea) in a concert performance at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and in a staged production under Raphaël Pichon in Strasbourg.

Her recent engagements have also included Ellen (Lakmé) at the Opéra de Nice and in Strasbourg, Pamina in a children’s version of Die Zauberflöte at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Lipi in Salieri’s Kublai Khan at the Theater an der Wien, the title role in an adaptation of Charpentier’s Louise at the Opéra Comique in Paris, Dalinda (Ariodante) in Strasbourg and Aspasia in Mozart’s Mitridate at the Opéra de Lausanne and Ismene in the same opera at the Opéra National de Montpellier.

At the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées she has also sung in Handel’s Messiah under Hervé Niquet and in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater under Vincent Dumestre. She made her debut at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in summer 2025 in the title role of Cavalli’s La Calisto under Sébastien Daucé.

In the 2025/26 season she performed with the Berlin Philharmonic under Emmanuelle Haïm in a concert featuring works by Lully and Rameau, sang Morgana in concert performances of Alcina under Philippe Jaroussky in Paris, Barcelona and Montpellier, and appeared as Norina (Don Pasquale) at the Opéra de Toulon, Rozenn in Lalo’s Le Roi d’Ys in Strasbourg and Poppea in Handel’s Agrippina at the Opéra Normandie Rouen.

Her engagements in the 2026/27 season will include Susanna in a concert performance of Le nozze di Figaro and Eurydice in Berlioz’s version of Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Susanna at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, her debut as Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) and the title role of Lucie de Lammermoor in Strasbourg, and a concert of works by Poulenc and a concert performance of Pelléas et Mélisande at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
