Kasia Tórz

Kasia Tórz was born in Poznań. She is a writer, researcher and curator. After earning a master’s degree in philosophy at the University of Warsaw, she studied at a.pass (advanced performance and scenography studies) in Brussels, and completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Science in Warsaw. Between 2007 and 2011 she collaborated with the Polish urban art group Twożywo on projects such as Twilight. Between 2010 and 2019 she programmed a thematic section of the Malta Festival Poznań called Idioms, where she collaborated with curators including Romeo Castellucci, Lotte van den Berg, Tim Etchells, Rodrigo García, Needcompany and Nástio Mosquito. She has contributed to magazines such as Didaskalia, Teatr and Klaxon, and edited several books on theatre, art and culture. She joined Needcompany in 2019.
