The Swiss-Italian tenor Fabio Dorizzi was a member of the International Opera Studio of the Hanover State Opera from 2023 to 2025, where he developed a wide-ranging repertory and appeared in roles including Cassio in Verdi’s Otello.
In 2024 he made his Salzburg Festival debut with the Vienna Philharmonic under Christian Thielemann in concert performances of Capriccio. His other engagements have included performances at the Zurich Opera House and as Edmondo (Manon Lescaut) at Bühnen Bern.
He is a prize-winner of the International Singing Competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, where he made his debut in 2022 as Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail).
At the beginning of the 2026/27 season Fabio Dorizzi will join the opera ensemble at Bühnen Bern, where he will continue to develop his repertory, and will sing roles including Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Peppe (Pagliacci) and Gastone (La traviata).
