Fabio Dorizzi

The tenor Fabio Dorizzi comes from Switzerland and has Italian roots. Since the start of the 2023/24 season he has been a member of the International Opera Studio of the Hanover State Opera, where he has so far appeared as Cassio and Roderigo (Otello), Second Priest and First Armed Man (Die Zauberflöte), Messenger (Aida) and Don Curzio (Le nozze di Figaro). He also sang the role of the Servant in the Hanover premiere of Aribert Reimann’s Lear.
Other engagements have included Second Jew (2021) and First Jew (2023) in Salome at the Zurich Opera House, Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and Lurcanio (Ariodante) at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding. In 2023 he also performed songs from Des Knaben Wunderhorn in a staged Mahler evening at the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn.
Fabio Dorizzi is a prize-winner of the 31st International Singing Competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and won first prize at the István Kertész Competition. He has participated in numerous masterclasses, including with Siegfried Jerusalem, Edith Wiens, Thomas Allen, Renate Behle and Tobias Trunniger. He has also worked with the mezzo-soprano Tanja Ariane Baumgartner and with Peter Berne.
