Memory Office Filming Completed
At the end of September 2025, the last block of interviews for Swiss artist Mats Staub's Festival Memory Office was filmed.
The oral history project gave festival visitors a chance to have their say. A total of 45 participants aged between 18 and 87 spoke about their most beautiful, touching, but also irritating festival experiences.
Mats Staub — ‘a traveller and collector of memories’ — has been developing art projects for 20 years that span the fields of theatre and exhibition, science and literature, focusing on people, their memories and life stories. The project, developed especially for Salzburg, focuses on the memories of long-standing festival guests. These can be relived and listened to in an installation presentation from summer 2026 onwards.
