Wibke Storkan

Wibke Storkan, born in Berlin in 1994, is a dancer, choreographer, dance mediator and dance and movement therapist. She studied dance in Antwerp, Belgium and completed her master’s degree in dance and movement therapy in Heidelberg. In her work she combines artistic and therapeutic practice and assigns a central role to the body as a powerful medium, its expression as well as healing and socio-political aspects.

Wibke Storkan works freelance on numerous projects and collaborates with Saskia Oidtmann, Yotam Peled, Theater Strahl Berlin, Florian Bilbao, Lara Kaiser and Judith Sánchez Ruíz, among others. In 2012, she came into contact with Sasha Waltz through the MusikTANZ – Carmen project and has been a guest dancer with the company ever since. Since 2022, she has also been part of the team of trainers for Sasha Waltz & Guests’ children’s and youth dance company. In this context, she was involved in the adaptation of In C – next generation for children and young people and choreographed Mein Herz dein Bunker – 290 BPM (director: Paula Thielecke) at the Kammerspiele of the Deutsches Theater Berlin (DTjung).
