Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha

The American baritone with Mexican roots Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha was born in San Diego. In 2024 he won second prize in the singing competition NEUE STIMMEN in Gütersloh and also received first prize in the 2024 Giulio Gari Foundation International Vocal Competition and the Opera at Florham International Vocal Competition. He was also awarded a Sara Tucker Study Grant from the Richard Tucker Foundation.

Since 2024/25 season, he has been a member of the opera studio of the Vienna Volksoper, where his appearances have included Dr Falke (Die Fledermaus), First Priest (Die Zauberflöte) and King Hildebrand/North Wind/Chorus 7 in German-language performances of Jonathan Dove’s The Enchanted Pig.

In summer 2024 Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha took part in the Aspen Music Festival, where he performed as Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) and Peter (Hänsel und Gretel) in fully staged productions under the direction of Renée Fleming and Patrick Summers. He also appeared there in several song recitals covering a wide repertory, ranging from Franz Schubert to Chris Thile.
