In 2023 the Croatian tenor Tomislav Jukić won first prize in both the international vocal competition ‘Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský’ in Slovakia and the international Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition. He studied at the Academy of Music at the University of Zagreb with Martina Zadro and participated in masterclasses with Michelle Wegwart, Hedwig Fassbender, Brigitte Fassbaender and Eytan Pessen.
He appeared with the Croatian Radio Choir and the ensemble Concerto dei venti in Split, Rijeka and Zagreb as tenor soloist in Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine. In 2024 he performed the role of Goro (Madama Butterfly) at the Slovenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ljubljana and sang in several concerts at the international opera arias festival ‘Tino Pattiera’ with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra.
Since the start of the 2024/25 season Tomislav Jukić has been a member of the international opera studio at the Zurich Opera House.
