The Croatian tenor Tomislav Jukić has won several renowned international singing competitions, including the Josep Palet Competition in Martorell (Spain) in 2026 and, in 2023, the Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský Competition in Trnava (Slovakia) and the Antonín Dvořák Competition in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic).
Until the end of the 2025/26 season, he was a member of the International Opera Studio of the Zurich Opera House, where he appeared in roles including Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) and Trabuco (La forza del destino). In summer 2025 he participated in the Young Singers Project of the Salzburg Festival, where he enjoyed great success in Sebastian Schwab’s children’s opera Musketiere!. Previous engagements included Goro (Madama Butterfly) at the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana and a performance as one of the tenor soloists in Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine with the Croatian Radio and Television Choir and the ensemble Concerto dei venti.
Following his return to the Salzburg Festival as Schmidt in concert performances of Werther, Tomislav Jukić will take part in an opera gala to mark the closing of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. At the beginning of the 2026/27 season, he joins the ensemble of the Leipzig Opera, where he will sing roles including Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) and Lensky (Eugene Onegin). He will also perform the role of Narraboth (Salome) at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
