Ricardo Urbina

Ricardo Urbina was born in Torreón (Mexico) and trained at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in California and at the Ballet School of the Hamburg Ballet. Prior to joining the ensemble of the Hamburg Ballet in 2018, he spent two years as a member of the Bundesjugendballett (National Youth Ballet of Germany). His repertory includes such roles as Cerberus in Orphée et Eurydice, Love in Bernstein Dances, Fritz in The Nutcracker, Thorn Spirit in John Neumeier’s new version of The Sleeping Beauty (2021) and Clown in Christopher Wheeldon’s The Winter’s Tale, along with a solo role in Third Symphony of Gustav Mahler.
