Pamelia Stickney has lived in Vienna since 2005. She began her career in 1995 as a jazz and rock musician. Her knowledge of string instruments and her background as a jazz bassist give her a distinctive playing style and expand her expressive possibilities. Pamelia Stickney is renowned worldwide as a performer on the theremin. She has given numerous international performances, made many recordings with a wide variety of artists, including David Byrne, John Zorn and Yoko Ono, and featured in a documentary about Robert Moog. In 2007 she released her first solo CD, Thinking Out Loud, with Tzadik.
