Noa Beinart

Contralto Noa Beinart was born in Tel Aviv and completed her vocal training in Christine Schäfer’s class at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. She gained her earliest experience of the stage in college productions singing roles that included Amastre (Serse) and Annina (Der Rosenkavalier). In 2017 she won the Trude Eipperle Rieger Prize.

Noa Beinart spent the 2018/19 season as a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, where she was heard as the Ghost of Antonia’s Mother (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and Annina (La traviata).

Since 2020/21 she has been a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble, singing roles that have included Auntie (Peter Grimes), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Erda (Das Rheingold and Siegfried), Mary (Der fliegende Holländer), the First Norn (Götterdämmerung), Schwertleite (Die Walküre) and the Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte). In November 2020 she sang Grimgerde (Die Walküre) under the direction of Philippe Jordan at the Paris Opéra and in 2021 appeared for the first time at the Salzburg Festival as the Second Maid in Elektra.

She will also be heard as the First Norn at the Berlin State Opera during the 2022/23 season.
