Naftali Wertheim is in worldwide demand as a cantor. He has served as Chief Cantor in a number of prestigious synagogues including the Central Orthodox Synagogue in Berlin and the Ohel Leah Synagogue in Hong Kong. For the past 15 years he has served as Cantor for the Moscow Choral Synagogue. He has also served various congregations in the United States and Europe. In Israel, he has worked as a cantor and performed in many Jewish venues across the country.
He is interested in all Jewish repertoire, including Hassidic and Israeli music, and his interpretations are sincere and heartfelt. His success is due in part to his work as a master rabbi-educator, whose students love and appreciate his teaching about Judaism and, above all, Jewish music.
