Massimo Repellini began studying the cello at the Lucio Campiani Music Conservatory in Mantua with Francesco Strano. Having completed his undergraduate degree, he continued his studies at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan with Rocco Filippini. At the beginning of the 1990s he enjoyed a very happy collaboration with leading baritone Leo Nucci and his Ensemble Salotto ’800, which fostered a deep passion for opera and led to appearances around the world as a principal cellist. He currently teaches the cello at the Conservatory in Mantua.
