Marlene Metzger

The soprano Marlene Metzger studied at the University of the Arts in her home city of Berlin and at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. From 2023 to 2025 she was a member of the Opera Academy of the Royal Danish Opera, where she sang parts including Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), Naiad (Ariadne auf Naxos), First Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Ottone in Vivaldi’s Griselda. She also sang the role of Servilia at the Hamburg State Opera under Adam Fischer. She appeared as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) with Concerto Copenhagen and as Gilda (Rigoletto) with the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra in opera films for children produced by Opera Hedeland. Her concert engagements have taken her to the Berlin Philharmonie, and to Luxembourg, Prague, Vienna and Budapest.

In 2024 she was a finalist of the international singing competition NEUE STIMMEN, and was awarded a scholarship from Denmark’s Roager Foundation.
