The horn player Markus Hauser is a native of Salzburg and began horn lessons at the age of eleven with Alois Aigner, at that time principal horn of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. From 1992 he studied concert horn with Josef Mayr at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, graduating in 1999 with distinction following further studies with Radovan Vlatkovic.
