The Romanian bass-baritone Marius Aron studied at the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy in his home city of Cluj-Napoca. At the age of 22 he had his first professional engagements at the Romanian National Opera there, singing roles including Jake Wallace (La fanciulla del West), Masetto (Don Giovanni) and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro).
Following further studies at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi in Milan and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, he made his Stuttgart State Opera debut as Cappadocian (Salome).
Since the start of the 2025/26 season Sebastian Aron has been a member of the Opera Studio (OperAvenir) at Theater Basel under the directorship of Hélio Vida, where he has sung roles including Joe (Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny), Banco (Macbeth) and Don Magnifico in a chamber version of La Cenerentola, and appeared in several concerts.
