The lighting designer Marco Giusti studied contemporary history in Trieste, before moving to Milan, where he took a degree in theatre directing. He developed his visual sense under the guidance of the painter and lighting designer Gabriele Amadori.
In recent years, Marco Giusti has designed lighting for numerous theatre and opera productions in Italy and throughout Europe, including at the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Opéra Bastille in Paris, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Opéra de Lausanne, the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, the St Gallen Theatre, the Festival d’Avignon, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Théâtre national de Strasbourg, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, La Monnaie in Brussels, the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen and La Scala, Milan.
