Lot Lemm

Lot Lemm studied sculpture at the LUCA School of Arts in Ghent. She subsequently worked with the children’s theatre company Stekelbees, touring extensively in Europe, and taught adult evening classes in textiles and theatre costumes. Since 1993, she has been working continuously with Needcompany as a costume designer as well as with many aspects of scenography, and has successfully cooperated in numerous productions and exhibitions with Grace Ellen Barkey. In 2016 she established an independent ceramics studio, where she produces her own porcelain artworks. Her collaboration with Needcompany continues through the opera productions of Jan Lauwers, including L’incoronazione di Poppea at the 2018 Salzburg Festival. In 2020 Lot Lemm and the artist Alain Ayers established HK57A Werkplaats, a studio in Brussels. They are currently curating the art project ‘Rosalie Invites: Recipes of Integration’.
