Lasha Iashvili was born in 1989. From 2013 to 2019 he studied scenography with Anna Viebrock and Greta Goiris at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, graduating with distinction. In addition to graphic and photographic exhibitions shown in various galleries in Vienna, he designed sets for the theatre production Host and Guest in 2016. In 2018 and 2019 he designed the series AutorInnenZimmer at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, and Noch so ein verkommenes Ufer in Vienna, both for Sasha Rau. In the 2019/20 season he worked as a set and costume design assistant at the Kassel State Theatre, among other venues. From 2020 to 2023 he was a costume design assistant at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, where he designed costumes for productions by Robert Lehniger, Tamó Gvenetadze, Mateusz Staniak and Anna Stiepani, among others.
