The soprano Jiayu Jin appeared in 2022 in a Baroque concert with Europa Galante under Fabio Biondi, and since then has performed at numerous renowned venues. In 2024 she appeared as La Musica / Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo with il Pomo d’Oro under Francesco Corti at the Monteverdi Festival in Cremona.
Her awards have included the Premio Speciale Francesco Cavalli at the 2023 Cavalli Monteverdi Competition, first prize at the 2024 International Baroque Singing Competition ‘Francesco Provenzale’ in Naples and second prize and an engagement prize at the Cesti International Singing Competition in Innsbruck.
Recent engagements have included Arianna in Vivaldi’s Il Giustino and a solo recital with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and at the 2025 Salzburg Whitsun Festival under Gianluca Capuano, Primavera in Alessandro Scarlatti’s La gloria di primavera at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome and the soprano part in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with Ann Hallenberg and il Pomo d’Oro in Seville. Her recital Lamenti di donna with the Spanish ensemble La Spagna under Alejandro Marías was acclaimed by both critics and the public.
In the 2023/24 season Jiayu Jin was a member of the opera studio of the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw.
Her plans include a tour of China with La Spagna.
