Friedemann Gottschlich

Friedemann Gottschlich studied singing at the University of Music in Freiburg, in Professor Markus Eiche’s class.
He is a versatile soloist and ensemble singer, who has benefitted from years of experience as a member of various prestigious ensembles and choirs. He has received musical inspiration through his work with artists such as Jörg Straube, Henryk Böhm, Gudrun Pelker, Dorothea Wirtz and Gottfried von der Goltz.
Friedemann Gottschlich gained his first operatic experience in 2021 when he sang one of the three gentlemen in Gottfried von Einem’s Der Prozess at the Landesbühnen Sachsen. In 2022 he sang Clito in George Frideric Handel’s Alessandro at the E. T. A. Hoffmann Theatre in Bamberg. As a prizewinner of the 32nd International Singing competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinberg he appeared in 2023 in the role of Notaro Pistofolo in Giovanni Paisiello’s La molinara with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin. Early in 2024 he appeared at the Théâtre Ledoux in Besançon as the servant Germano in Gioachino Rossini’s La scala di seta.
Friedemann Gottschlich holds scholarships from the Horst and Gretl Will Foundation and the Richard Wagner Society of Braunschweig.
