Conducted since 2007 by Stefano Visconti, the Chorus of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo is composed of forty singers. In addition to the Opéra de Monte-Carlo season, the chorus colla borates with the Principality’s other cultural entities such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo and the Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
The Chorus of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo participates in the Opéra de Monte-Carlo productions abroad (La traviata in Antibes, La Favorite, Guillaume Tell and Simon Boccanegra at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées…).
They also perform in chamber music ensembles, in a large repertoire, as well as in concert, covering all genres: from sacred music to crossover projects designed to attract the widest possible audience. The Chorus of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo is regularly invited in France and abroad to take part in various festivals, tours or opera seasons: Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Royal Opera House of Oman, Chorégies d’Orange, Opéra de Marseille, Tokyo, Osaka, Messina, Athens and recently at the Wiener Staatsoper for a Rossini Mania festival. They will return to Vienna in July 2024 for the Barocchissimo festival.
