Charlie Skuy was born in 2000 in Toronto. Following his graduation from Canada’s National Ballet School, he joined Nederlands Dans Theater in 2018, and remained with the company for six years. Throughout this time, he continued to create his own choreographies, films and performances.
Since 2024 he has been a freelancer and concentrates entirely on creating his own work in dance and film, alongside collaborations with artists he admires.
Charlie Skuy’s work gained recognition at the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition (2020); he subsequently won awards in the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (2023) and Cinedans Festival, Amsterdam. Since then, he has been creating commissioned work for companies / theatres across Europe, with a deep interest in the uncanny, associative design, dream logic and distorted classicism.
He joined Peeping Tom for the creation of Chroniques in 2025.
