Ashley Alexandra Wright is a performer, choreographer and composer. From 2005 to 2012 she was a member of the Ballet Vlaanderen; she subsequently joined the Opéra national de Lyon, where she remained until 2016. Since 2016 she has lived in Germany, where she works as a freelance artist, including with the company Emanuel Gat Dance and artists such as Kat Válastur. From 2023 to 2026 she was a member of the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company.
She has created her own choreographic works for Ballet Vlaanderen, the Ballet of the Opéra national de Lyon and the TANZtheater INTERNATIONAL festival in Hanover.
She has been artist in residence with Les Subsistances in Lyon, at HELLERAU — European Centre for the Arts and at the Uferstudios in Berlin.
As a member of the interdisciplinary collective LANDBREAKERS she has realized artistic projects in Hamburg, Madrid, Frankfurt and at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
Ashley Alexandra Wright is also a composer for theatre, dance, live installations and film.
