The dancer Arikitau Tentau is a member of one of the best-known families of dancers in Kiribati. He was 17 when he became a principal performer with Lemi Ponifasio’s company MAU. His initial training as a dancer was with the Tekeang Kiribati Cultural Association and the Te Ie Ni Kiribati Dancing Group.
Arikitau Tentau has performed throughout the world in many of Lemi Ponifasio’s major productions, including Orff’s Prometheus, Tempest: Without a Body, Birds with Skymirrors, I AM, Crimson House, Requiem and Le Savali.
