Arianna Vendittelli
Soprano
The soprano Arianna Vendittelli made her debuts at the Ravenna Festival and the Salzburg Festival as Carmi in Mozart’s La Betulia liberata under Riccardo Muti. Under Muti she has also sung in Paisiello’s Missa defunctorum and in Vivaldi’s Magnficat.
In 2025 she participated in the new show I Grotteschi, featuring music from the three surviving Monteverdi operas, at La Monnaie in Brussels under Leonardo García-Alarcón.
At the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music she has sung Lucinda in Cesti’s Le nozze in sogno, the title role of Pasquini’s L’Idalma, Argia in Broschi’s Merope, Vagaus in Vivaldi’s Juditha triumphans and the title role in Giacomelli’s Cesare in Egitto.
In the 2022/23 season she performed Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) under Marc Minkowski at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Opéra National de Bordeaux and the Opéra Royal de Versailles. She also appeared in the role of Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) at several theatres in Italy and at the Opéra de Lausanne under Diego Fasolis.
Other career highlights have included the title role of Rossini’s Ermione and Amaltea (Mosè in Egitto) at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena) in Reggio Emilia, Modena and Piacenza.
As a celebrated interpreter of Baroque music her appearances include the title role of Hasse’s La Semele at the Theater an der Wien and at London’s Wigmore Hall, Alessandro in Handel’s Berenice at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Armida (Rinaldo) at the Opéra de Lausanne and the Angel in Pergolesi’s La conversione di San Guglielmo at the Festival Pergolesi Spontini.
Under Ottavio Dantone she has sung the title role of Handel’s Serse on tour in Italy, Idaspe in Vivaldi’s Tamerlano at the Theater an der Wien, Minerva (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria) at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Dido (Dido and Aeneas) and Minerva at the Ravenna Festival. She has also appeared as Donna Rosa in Cherubini’s Lo sposo di tre e marito di nessuna under Diego Fasolis in Florence and in the title role of Sartorio’s Orfeo under Philippe Jaroussky in Montpellier.
In 2021 she released the Vivaldi album Cantate per soprano I for the Naïve Vivaldi Edition.
In the 2025/26 season Arianna Vendittelli has sung the title role of Agrippina at the Festival de Beaune, Laodice in Scarlatti’s Mitridate Eupatore at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Sesto (Giulio Cesare) under Minkowski at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia and Donna Elvira under Francesco Corti at the Opera Vlaanderen and in Valencia.
