Annette Mangold has been Head of Artistic Planning with the Berliner Philharmoniker since the 2013/14 season. In this role she has collaborated closely with the orchestra and its chief conductors — initially Simon Rattle, and now Kirill Petrenko — and plans and manages concerts in Berlin and on tour.
After her studies at the universities of music and performing arts in Stuttgart and Vienna Annette Mangold began her professional career as Head of Artistic Administration at the Konzerthaus Vienna, where she planned and organised a wide range of chamber music and orchestral concerts, and eventually took over the management of the Artists’ Administrative Office.
From 2008 to 2011 she worked in France as Conseillère artistique of the Orchestre National de Lyon. She then served as Déléguée générale of the instrumental and vocal ensemble Le Concert d’Astrée, assisting Emmanuelle Haïm with the production of Baroque operas and concerts.
