Aljoscha Lennert

The tenor Aljoscha Lennert makes his Salzburg Festival debut as Nikolios (The Greek Passion). In recent seasons he has had the opportunity to extensively explore the music of Bohuslav Martinů. In 2020 he sang the role of Michel in a production of Juliette at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover, and in the same year he appeared at the Hanover State Opera as Andonis in Barbora Horáková’s production of The Greek Passion, under the musical direction of Valtteri Rauhalammi. In 2022 he appeared as Yannakos in a production of The Greek Passion at Theater Osnabrück.
Aljoscha Lennert was born in Nuremburg and studied at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main, completing his education in 2021 at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover with Marina Sandel. During his studies he appeared as a guest artist with the Frankfurt Opera (in 2014 and 2015), and from 2019 to 2021 he was a member of the Hanover State Opera. From autumn 2021 to summer 2023 he appeared in a wide-ranging repertory as an ensemble member of Theater Osnabrück. In January 2023 he made his role debut there as Tito (La clemenza di Tito). In 2022 he appeared as a guest artist at the Aalto Theatre in Essen; he will become a member of the ensemble there from the 2023/24 season.
Aljoscha Lennert also appears in a wide-ranging repertory as a concert soloist.
