Young Singers Project Final Concert
The Young Singers Project Final Concert takes place on 28. August at the Haus für Mozart.

Together with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg under the baton of Carlo Benedetto Cimento, this year’s participants in the Young Singers Project will present the final concert of the “class of 2025” during the last Festival week.
In opera arias by George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Carl Maria von Weber, Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Vincenzo Bellini, Hector Berlioz, Friedrich von Flotow, Charles Gounod, Georges Bizet and Jules Massenet, the participants perform repertoire ranging from the baroque to German and French romanticism and bel canto works.
A total of 14 vocalists from 9 countries were selected from more than 800 applicants for this year’s Young Singers Project. The young artist programme was initiated 17 years ago; since then, 224 young talents from 46 nations have successfully participated. Every year, they have the opportunity to present themselves in master classes which are open to the public – led this year by Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Julian Prégardien and Malcolm Martineau – and to perform alongside renowned Festival artists in opera productions. They also receive musical training in song interpretation, language coaching, technical training and repertoire expansion. In parallel, they are involved in staged rehearsals and workshops and perform the children’s opera: this year, it was the world premiere of Sebastian Schwab’s Musketiere!,
commissioned by the Salzburg Festival. Furthermore, some of the participants appeared during the Young Conductors Award in the concerts on 1, 2 and 3 August with the Camerata Salzburg, conducted by the finalists of the YCA at the Main Auditorium of the Mozarteum Foundation.
