Elionor Martínez
Soprano
The soprano Elionor Martínez was born in 1996 in Barcelona and completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Conservatori del Liceu in her home city, studying with Dolors Aldea and supported by a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation. Support from this foundation also allowed her to undertake a Master’s degree with Marcel Boone at the Basel Academy of Music, from where she graduated in summer 2023.
She regularly performs with La Capella Reial de Catalunya under the direction of Jordi Savall, with whom she last appeared at the Salzburg Festival in 2024. In the 2025/26 season she toured Europe with Jordi Savall and La Capella Nacional de Catalunya performing the oratorios Christus am Ölberge (Beethoven) and Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze (Haydn), and also performed with Savall and La Capella Reial de Catalunya at venues including the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
As a recitalist she participates in the Associació Franz Schubert’s mentoring programme Lied the Future and has performed with piano accompanists Olivia Zaugg and Victoria Guerrero in Switzerland and in Spain. She has been selected as a ‘Rising Star’ by the European Concert Hall Organisation for the 2026/27 season, and will perform in Europe’s most prestigious concert halls.
As a soloist she has appeared in repertory including Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Magnificat and Passions, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Mozart’s Mass in C minor and Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem and Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem. Her operatic repertory includes Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Cimarosa’s Il convito, and the roles of Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola.
In February 2025 she participated in the most recent recording by La Capella Nacional de Catalunya and Le Concert des Nations under Jordi Savall, singing one of the soprano solos in Mozart’s Mass in C minor.
Elionor Martínez is the winner of the Salvat Beca Bach grant 2016, awarded in Barcelona, and received four special prizes at the Josep Palet International Singing Competition in Martorell.
