The Association of Friends of the Salzburg Festival supports eco-friendly and free mobility for Festival guests travelling to and from the 250 events. “Once again, we wish to offer all the Salzburg Festival’s guests the attractive option of leaving their car at home and travelling to our performance venues for free,” Festival President Helga Rabl-Stadler declares.
Leave your car at home and use any Festival ticket (including free tickets) as your free pass to public transportation. The tickets are valid within the City of Salzburg for transportation on all electrical buses, buses and trams of the “Salzburger Verkehrsverbund” (Salzburg Regional Transportation Network). Their validity begins three hours before the event and ends with the day’s shift. The popular shuttle bus to the venue Perner-Insel in Hallein will also be available again. The shuttle bus departs behind the Festspielhaus, on the corner of Reichenhaller Straße and Neutorstraße, one hour before the beginning of performances of The Forbidden Zone and Don Juan kommt aus dem Krieg. Enjoy a wonderful Festival summer without traffic jams and parking headaches – just hop on board public transportation!
