Are you a soprano, tenor or bass and under 26 years of age? If you are at home in the repertoire of Mozart, in baroque, Italian and French opera, apply now to participate in the Young Singers Project in 2013!

In addition, we are seeking young tenors and mezzo-sopranos aged 17 to 23 for a special project (academy) during the summer of 2013. To apply for this project, your vocal studies do not have to be completed yet. The Academy is conceived as a precursor for the Young Singers Project.

Please submit your application materials to
Toni Gradsack, Director, YSP

With the Young Singers Project, the Salzburg Festival has created a high-carat platform to support rising young singers in 2008. Young singers are selected through international auditions for the Young Singers Project and work with Festival artists as part of their scholarship in Salzburg. Tuition includes not only musical aspects, but also scenic rehearsals, diction coaching and repertoire expansion. These encounters and the practical application within the framework of the Festival make the YSP an education programme that serves as an international model. Public master classes, the participation in Festival productions of the 2013 season and the performance of a final concert make the Young Singers Project a young artist program considered an international benchmark.
