“Salzburg meets China” • Hantang Culture

Festival President Helga Rabl-Stadler honoured

She received the “Grande Ufficiale dell’ordine della Stella d’Italia” in the presence of Maestro Riccardo Muti after his concert with the Vienna Philharmonic. The medal was presented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Vienna, H. E. Giorgio Marrapodi.

Still, the focus of Sven-Eric Bechtolf’s production is more on the Count and Countess, the soprano says. And yet Susanna is “the Hans Sachs of lyric sopranos,” she says with a laugh.
