At Whitsun (May 17-20) and during the summer (July 19 to September 1), the 2013 Salzburg Festival promises fireworks of illumination, new ideas and a star-studded parade of the world’s best conductors, stage directors, singers, musicians, actors and orchestras – a line-up which is absolutely unique, and draws and enthuses an attractive audience.

The artistic leadership – the Whitsun Festival’s Artistic Director Cecilia Bartoli, Artistic Director Alexander Pereira and Director of Drama Sven-Eric Bechtolf – has put together a multitude of new productions of opera and literary classics, numerous world premieres and a uniquely voluminous concert program for you.

The Salzburg Festival’s publications, with an overall print run of about 150,000 (evening programs and books) are high-class products in terms of content and design, and your potential customers will read, enjoy and study them amidst the enchanting and unique atmosphere of the Festival venues.

OVERALL PROGRAM / ALMANAC Salzburg Festival 2013

The comprehensive guide to all productions of the Salzburg Festival is published at the beginning of the Festival and will be sold in bookstores as well.

Program Book, FESTIVAL BALL August 31, 2013

The Festival Ball will be a social highlight again, attended by international guests from business, politics, culture and society. The program book will provide a comprehensive guide through this glittering evening; it will be sent to the ball’s guests prior to the beginning of the Festival as well as distributed to all guests during the event.

Program Books, OPERA

Program books will be published for the eleven scenic and concert opera productions: Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Don Carlo, Gawain, Falstaff, Così fan tutte, Norma, Lucio Silla, Jeanne d'Arc, Giovanna d'Arco, Rienzi, and Nabucco.

  • Trim size: 148 x 210 mm high, plus 3 mm bleeds    
  • Total print run: 38,700 copies 
  • Circulation: 77,400 readers

Program Books, DRAMA July 20–September 2, 2012

Program books will be published for Jedermann, Ein Sommernachtstraum, Lumpazivagabundus, Die Jungfrau von Orleans, Schneewittchen and Sans Objet; the publications for the Young Directors Project (YDP) will appear in a special format.

  • Total print run: 21,300 copies 
  • Circulation: 42,600 readers

A total of 68 program books will be published for the concerts and concert cycles.
