The contributions of the Project Sponsors directly support the financing of an artistic project at the Salzburg Festival.
The Salzburg Festival thanks its Project Sponsors:

Roche has enabled the Salzburg Festival to present contemporary music for the past six years. In addition to supporting Salzburg contemporary, every year 100 university students have the opportunity to participate in a one-week program of workshops, lectures and concerts.

The Turkish Borusan Holding has caused a stir with its economic success and its cultural engagement. The Borusan Orchestra made a guest appearance at the Salzburg Festival’s opening in 2010. Since 2011, Borusan has supported the appearances of guest orchestras.

JTI underwrites the project Opera today, thus enabling us to present new contemporary works on stage. The partnership begins in 2012 with one of the most important operas of the 20th century: Bernd Alois Zimmermann’s Die Soldaten.

If you are interested in supporting the Salzburg Festival or would like to receive the detailed program of sponsor benefits as well as the projects to be sponsored, please let us know and we will be happy to send you further information. Of course, we are available personally, should you have questions or enquiries, and can help you design a sponsoring package tailored to your wishes and needs.

EDITORIAL DEVELOPMENT

“Aren’t you afraid that the sponsors will try to influence your program?” is a common question in the arts sections of various newspapers, especially since we have been so successful in acquiring sponsors. And I can always answer both spontaneously and honestly: No, I am not afraid of that. Our sponsors are far too intelligent not to know that trying to influence the content of our program would have a boomerang effect. On the contrary, I hope our sponsors continue to influence us, in the sense that they make it possible to implement projects that we could not realize otherwise for lack of money. Therefore, on behalf of the Festival, I would very much like to thank our sponsors, donors, supporters and friends as well as the public authorities subsidizing the Festival for their generous support.
