At the Karl-Böhm-Saal, there will be not only culinary options – the Stiegl-Bräustüberl on the balcony
features the new house beer “Wildshuter Sortenspiel” for a fresh taste, and the Long Bar offers Salzburg specialties provided by the catering service of the Hotel Goldener Hirsch – but also a Ball Casinohosted by Casinos Austria. You can ask luck to be a lady tonight at two gaming tables, choosing between Black Jack and American Roulette. The best way to follow the opening ceremony as well as the drawing of the main tombola prizes might be via the round projection screen mounted at the centre of the hall.
A novel feature at the Festival Ball will be the taxi dancers, enabling those without dance partners to participate in the dance courses offered by Niki Seifert in the Faistauer Foyer and in the evening’s dancing on the Felsenreitschule’s dance floor.
The Festival Ball Sorbet created exclusively for the 2013 Festival Ball – an aromatic mixture of champagne and rose petals – is available from the ice cream stand by Eiswerk in the foyer of the Haus für Mozart. There, Hubertus Hohenlohe will also set up his exclusive photographer’s corner, to which he will entice various VIPs and Festival Ball guests. He will chat with you and take photographs; the photographs will be printed immediately and offered in a frame by ServusTV as a souvenir of this evening.
A few steps further, you will also find the high-carat prizes of the Ball Tombolaready for pickup, starting at 1:30 am.
Between all these programme highlights, you can relax at the Chillout Lounge at the SalzburgKulisse where the Hotel Goldener Hirsch’s cocktails and jazz sounds created by the duo Werner Radzik and Gernot Strebel provide an atmospheric backdrop. Or visit the Beauty Boudoir, where professionals from MAC Cosmetics and Coiffeur Sturmayr will make sure your make-up and hairdo are restored to perfection before you return to the bustle of the Ball!
