Marc Osterer, trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist, was born in New York in 1986. At the early age of five, he began to play the trumpet. During his classical music studies at the North Carolina School of the Arts, he discovered his interest in jazz and musical improvisation. In 2004 he returned to New York and attended the Manhattan School of Music as a jazz major, and flourished into the New York music scene in all genres, frequently appearing in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Blue Note Jazz Club, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Since 2010 he has lived in Mexico City, where he plays principal trumpet in the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra. Marc Osterer also composes his own music and performs as a soloist in the genres of jazz, contemporary and classical music.
