ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

In cooperation with the Vienna Philharmonic and with financial support from the Salzburg Foundation of the American Austrian Foundation (AAF), the Friends of the Vienna Philharmonic, and the Friends of the Salzburg Festival Opera Camps for young opera fans take place in Salzburg.
There, everything revolves around one opera for a week. An international team of pedagogues and artists led by Hanne Muthspiel-Payer has developed multi-faceted concepts of opening doors to the world of opera for children and teenagers. At Arenberg Palace, the participants develop their own opera, together with professionals, members of the Vienna Philharmonic will coach the ensemble and perform at the final performance.
