As part of the concert series Salzburg contemporary, families are also invited to come explore contemporary music. A particularly suitable piece for such an undertaking is Bernd Alois Zimmermann’s Rondo popolare, based on the satirical picture story Die fromme Helene by Wilhelm Busch, which the composer set for narrator and small orchestra. In the second part, the focus is on Viennese sayings, in Friedrich Cerha’s interpretation of this very special idiom.
